How to I book this Course?
Drop us an email or phone us on freephone 0800 862 0610 or 01472 886688 to have a chat with one of our friendly office team, who will help you choose the right course for you.
How do I pay for the Course?
A deposit of 50% of the course fee is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the commencement of your Course. If the Course is within 4 weeks of booking, the full balance is due at the time of booking.
Payment can be made by debit or credit card (please note a 3% surcharge is incurred for credit card payments) or by cheque (made payable to ‘Anderby Driving Centre Ltd’).
How do I know how many hours of lessons I need?
As everyone is different, we go by our rule of thumb, which we have gained through all of our years of experience to design our Courses. If you can’t see the Course you want need, we can tailor one especially for your needs.
The DSA (Driving Standards Agency) say that you need on average, 45 hours with an Instructor, plus 22 hours private practice. However, what we do know is that people that learn intensively often need fewer lessons than those who have one lesson a week. We structure the Courses so that if you do feel that you would benefit for taking a few more hours tuition in readiness for your test, then we can do this at a charge of £19 per hour. On the other hand, if you don’t need as many hours as originally booked, we will reimburse you for the unused hours.
If you decide to book the 10 or 15 hour refresher course, to ensure you achieve the maximum benefit from the course, we would like some evidence from your previous driving instructor, stating that they feel you have a good chance of passing the driving test with their recommended amount of further tuition. If you are not able to obtain some evidence, then we will ask you a few questions and also our Chief Driving Instructor will contact you for a chat. Please also bear in mind if it has been a while since you last had any driving lessons, you will need time to get ‘back into the swing’ of driving.
What happens if I don’t pass my driving test?
Please be assured that your professional Anderby Instructor has the skills and knowledge and will endeavour to get you to be ready to take the practical test. As we all know in the real world, nothing can be guaranteed (sorry to sound negative), and if you were not to succeed, we will discuss the options with you (e.g. getting another test at short notice if available, having a few extra hours training). Whichever option you decide, the pricing would be minimal to you. Your Instructor will help you make an informed choice, which is right for you.
What happens if I need to cancel my Course?
Hopefully this wont happen, but sometimes things don’t go to plan and you may wish to move or cancel your course. Our full cancellation policy will be sent to you before you commit to any Course.
Please note:
*1 - Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances you may need to change car or Instructor (e.g. illness or mechanical breakdown). Please be assured that it will not take you long to adapt to the new vehicle.
*2 - In the interests of public health and safety, your Instructor can withdraw use of the tuition vehicle for test purposes, if he or she feels that your driving is not of an appropriate test standard.
